Griptop Cove Pack is applied by trowel, is highly durable and when sealed with Griptop Cove Pack Seal has very good resistance to many of the chemicals commonly found in and industrial environment (consult our Technical Department for further details).
Approximately 10 linear metres per kit at 150mm high and 6mm thick.
Store at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
Approximately 6 months if stored in unopened containers and under good conditions.
The surface must me clean, dry (less than 75% RH measured by hygrometer) and free of dust laitence, oils, paints or other forms of contamination (see the DCP Guide to Surface Preparation for further details).
Surfaces must be primed with Strongcoat Primer prior to application with Griptop Cove Pack. The Strongcoat Primer must be allowed to reach a tacky finish - typically 1-2 hours at 20°C.
Taking care to ensure that the bottom and sides are thoroughly scraped, transfer the entire contents of the Griptop Cove Pack Part B container into the Part A container and, using a Jiffy-type mixer attached to a slow running electric drill, mix for approximately two minutes. Once the Griptop Cove Pack parts A and B have been mixed, transfer the entire contents of the Part A container into a Casco or Cretangle-type mixer, taking care to ensure that the bottom and sides are thoroughly scraped.
Start the mixer and transfer to it the entire contents of the Griptop Cove Pack part C container, taking care to ensure that these are completely dry and lump-free.
Continue mixing for approximately two minutes.
Never mix Griptop Cove Pack by hand as this could lead to areas of uncured material.
Once mixing is complete, transfer the Griptop Cove Pack to the primed surface and, using a combination of straight-edged and coving trowels, apply it evenly over this.
Once cured apply two coats of Griptop Cove Pack Seal (See Product Data Sheet for information) to provide extra protection for the cove.
Griptop Cove Pack has a working time of approximately 15 minutes at 20°C.
Never leave the mixed Griptop Cove Pack kit to stand for any length of time prior to application as this will considerably shorten its working time.
Once mixing and application are complete, tools can be cleaned with a suitable solvent.
At 20°C, Griptop Cove Pack should be touch dry in about 24 hours and allow 5 days before exposing it to chemical contamination (consult our Technical Department for details of curing times at other temperatures).
Griptop Cove Pack should not be applied at temperatures less than 10°C.
