Materials Supplied25 kg. CoverageApproximately 10m² per kg per coat. This figure is based on application to a smooth dense surface. Coverage will vary according to the texture, porosity and evenness of the surface to which Stopdust is being applied. It is recommended that a test application be carried out to determine the precise coverage rate for each job. For particularly porous surfaces add 1 part of clean cold water to 4 parts of Stopdust and shake well before use. StorageStore at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Shelf LifeApproximately 12 months if stored in unopened containers under good conditions. |
Application InstructionsSURFACE PREPARATION Standing water must be removed and the surface must be clean and free of laitance and any existing coating, curing membranes or surface hardeners. See the DCP Guide to Surface Preparation for further details. For treatment of surfaces containing expansion joints, consult our Technical Department. APPLICATION To improve coverage rates and penetration on particularly porous substrates, Stopdust should be diluted with clean water, 4 parts Stopdust to 1 part water and stirred before use. Pour the Stopdust directly onto the surface, and using a sweeping brush or squeegee, apply it liberally until the surface becomes saturated. Any excess Stopdust should then be applied to an untreated area or completely removed. Where Stopdust is being applied to a polymermodified or sand/cement-based screed before overlaying it with a resilient or textile floor covering, first carry out moisture tests on the screed to establish whether it is sufficiently dry to receive the floor covering. CLEANING Once application is complete, tools can be cleaned with cold water. DRYING TIME At 20°C, Stopdust should be allowed to dry for 24 hours before opening it to any form of traffic. Consult our Technical Department for details of drying times at other temperatures. Stopdust should not be applied if the surface temperature is below 10°C. HEALTH AND SAFETY Refer to the product Material Safety Data Sheets before using Stopdust.
